Dmitriy Setrakyan
Dmitriy works at AWS Aurora where he focuses on building the next generation of Serverless databases for the cloud. Before Aurora, Dimitry led product development, professional services, and customer support operations at GridGain. While at GridGain, Dmitriy was involved in donating the Apache Ignite project to ASF and helped the Ignite community propel Ignite to a top-level Apache project. Dmitriy has been designing, architecting, and developing software for more than 20 years and is an expert in the development of distributed computing systems, middleware platforms, financial trading systems, and CRM applications. Before GridGain, Dmitriy worked at eBay where he was responsible for the architecture of the performance-sensitive, high-traffic components of an ad-serving system that processed several billion hits a day. Before eBay, Dmitriy served as a lead architect at Fitech Labs. At Fitech Labs, Dimitry focused on high-performance software for trading systems and jump-started a distributed-caching, grid-computing product line that scaled out to hundreds of computers.
